Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill
Have you ever been in a situation where someone tells you to buy or see or eat or do something fabulous but you put it off for no good reason and then when you finally buy or see or eat or do the something it was so great that you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner? Well that’s exactly what happened to me in the case of Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill. Two years ago Wendy, my brother’s girlfriend, told us about this amazing BBQ place in Anaheim Hills and went on and on about how delicious it was. Did I go check it out? No. One year ago Wendy’s parents were in town from South Africa and went to dinner with my parents at said amazing BBQ place in Anaheim Hills and came back raving about how excellent it was and telling us we should really go. Did I go check it out? No. Last week my friends Debbie and Stacy invited me to have dinner with them at this really amazing BBQ place near their house in Anaheim Hills. Did I go? YES (finally)! And I’m so happy I did! Learn from my mistakes and go to Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill as soon as humanly possible. Do not delay, do not collect $200, do not put it off for any reason…
Everything I ate there was fantastic starting with the hot, homemade, fresh from the oven garlic and parsley rolls that are slightly undercooked. Oh my goodness… Even just one of those adjectives can make a roll good, but all three?? Hot, homemade, AND fresh from the oven?! And then add garlic to mix… And not over-cooked… Simply out of this world. And they are complimentary! As many as you can eat! I really, truly love this place and can’t believe I’ve wasted so many meals over the past 2 years when I could have been eating there. Did I mention hot, homemade, fresh out of the oven garlic rolls??
After wolfing down four rolls I really didn’t need anything else to eat but since when has that ever stopped me? With 14 vegetarian side dishes I could eat here dozens of times without repeating the same combination. I tried Lauren’s favorite mac & cheese, the mashed sweet potatoes, the fresh grilled white corn cut off the cob, and steamed broccoli. The mac and cheese sauce was so thick and rich that it coated the inside of my mouth. Incredible. And the mashed sweet potatoes also had incredible flavor and texture. All in all – delicious! I’m so excited to return and try the sweet potato fries, the peanut coleslaw, the incredible mashed potatoes, and the WR fries…
p.s. my meat-eating friends couldn’t stop raving about the tri-tip, petite filet, and baby back ribs so if you’re a carnivore you’re going to love this place too!
Sounds like a belly-filling good time. Thanks for the tip!
I love this place! There is one in The Grove on 3rd Street in Los Angeles. My favorite is the Tri-Tip salad. It’s amazing and huge!!! I usually can’t finish it but I always try! YUM!
We did have a great time too…along with all the good food! I love wood ranch too, glad you braved it finally with us!
Almost as tasty as bacon. Something new and different, are you ready for “The Bacon Inhaler?”
