Granville
Fall has finally arrived and with it glorious sun-rays, fresh-smelling raindrops, and lots of yummy, hot soup!
My very favorite butternut squash soup can be found at Granville’s in Burbank. And so on Friday night we braved the LA traffic in order to get a steaming hot bowl-full. I can’t quite put my finger on what makes this the very best butternut squash soup around, but it’s super creamy and mild with a hint of curry and a sprinkling of toasted walnuts and dried cranberries. You’ve just got to try it to believe it.
Granville also has delicious Sweet potato fries, and if you’ve been following along then you already know how I feel about sweet potatoes. These fries definitely get a 10 out of 10 and come served in a little brown paper bag and are sprinkled with fresh rosemary and 3 sauces: ranch, ketchup, and a mild blue cheese dressing.
In the fall, or any season really, the best table in the house is the one on the patio by the fireplace. Try going for a late lunch or early dinner for your best chance of getting it.
That soup sounds beyond tasty. I would brave the traffic too just to slurp it up!
Sweet potato fries is making me hungry!
